Quiet Emotions

I always wanted more from you
than you were willing to give;
So now we’ve gone our separate ways
each with different lives to live.
The bond will always be there
the friendship always intact;
But the time for us has come and gone
and the pages of time, you can’t turn back.
I will always be a friend to you
and wonder how you are;
The smiles and laughter I will remember
and our fights have become painless scars.
Sometimes on those busy days
when you’ve a thousand things to do;
Please let me glide slowly through your mind
and spend some time with you.
In that quiet moment
when you’re surprised to find me there;
Just remember even with the distance between
us
I am still someone who cares.
To A Good Friend (the ideal)

The ideal good friend is still the person who gives you
the better of the two choices,
holds your hand when you’re scared,
helps you fight off those who try to take advantage of you,
thinks of you at times when you are not there,
reminds you of what you have forgotten,
helps you put the past behind you,
but understands when you need to hold on
to it a little longer,
stays with you so that you have confidence,
goes out of their way to make time for you,
helps you clear up your mistakes,
helps you deal with pressure from others,
smiles for you when he/she is sad,
helps you become a better person.
Thank you for being a good friend.
No matter where we go or who we become,
never forget those who helped us get there.
Pass this on to those friends
of the past, and those of the future…and those
you have met along the
way…
There’s never a wrong time to pick up a phone
or send a message telling your friends
how much you miss them or how
much you love them.
You know who you are,
pass it on to someone who you want to remind.
Send this to all your friends and maybe those
who aren’t, but just watch and
see who sends it back, you might be suprised.

Each breath seemed to take every ounce of strength,
Every movement caused an agony of pain,
Was life worth it thought the sufferer? What can I gain?
Being a burden to all those I love and no use at all.
Troubled sleep crept over the pain weary soul,
And he dreamed a vision so fair to behold.
A large sailing ship with all her sails unfurled,
Floating so gently on a pure bright silver sea.
On board were friends long since left this life,
Dressed in long robes of the purest white.
Their faces gleaming with a perfect light
That glowed till all around him shone with joy.
What We Share…

When we share laughter, there’s twice the fun;
When we share success, we’ve surpassed what we’ve done.
When we share problems, there’s half the pain;
When we share tears, a rainbow follows rain.
When we share dreams, they become more real;
When we share secrets, it’s our hearts we reveal.
If we share a smile, that’s when our love shows;
If we share a hug, that’s when our love grows.
If we share with someone on whom we depend,
that person is always family or friend.
And what draws us closer and makes us all care,
Is not what we have, but the things we share.

PLEASE SEND MY FRIEND AN ANGEL
Please send my friend an angel
Send her one of mine
A loving and caring one
The best that you can find.
Please send my friend an angel
And trust her with its’ care
Someone or something for her to love
And to always be there.
Please send my friend an angel
One to help her fill her days
With hope, love, and laughter
And the warmth of sunshine rays.
Please send my friend an angel
You know she gave me one of mine
Please send her down an angel
A true friend’s hard to find.

I May Have Known You
For Years Or Just A Day.
This Comes From My Heart
Please Hear What I Say.
We May Be Half A World Apart,
You May Be Just Across The Street.
I May See You Each Day,
We May Never Meet.
Life Is A Circle That Has
Let Our Paths Cross.
Like Spring Time And Summer,
The First Winter Frost.
The Color Of Your Skin
It’s Not Important At All.
My Skin Has Color And
So Do The Fall Leaves.
Treasure Is A Word That Can
Mean Many Things.
To Me It’s The Joy
That Your Friendship Brings.
But It’s Much More Than That.
It’s Something Money Can’t Buy.
Can You Hear What I’m Saying,
Am I Making It Clear,
Just How Much You Mean To Me.
Our Friendship So Dear,
You Have Been There For Me
And I’ll Always Be Here For You.
Gosh !
It’s So Wonderful To Have
A True Friend
Like You.

An Angel (kissed my tears)

An angel kissed my tears away
Today when I was sad
I wasn’t feeling quite myself
My day had been so bad.
I felt a warmth brush by me
That quickly dried my tears.
A gentle, kind and loving touch
That seemed to hold me near.
Immediately, I felt so much better
And the day seemed brighter too
I guess that’s just the way you feel
When an angel comforts you.

Real Friend, A

“You can always tell a real friend: When you’ve made a fool of
yourself he doesn’t feel you’ve done a permanent job.”
Dr. Bettie Youngs writes in Helping Kids Cope with the Stress,
Strains, Pressures of Life, about a five-year-old girl named
Norma. On the first day of kindergarten, too shy to ask the
teacher to use the bathroom and too timid to use it without first
getting permission, she wet herself. It wasn’t long before all
the other students were aware of what had happened. Most
laughed, some thinking her predicament funny and others in
nervous relief that this had happened to her and not to them
first. But one brave boy named Norm did not laugh. He got up
from his desk, walked over to Norma, and said softly, “I will
help you.” Norma said later, “We were all sitting and he was
standing, so his presence seemed almost majestic. ‘And I won’t
let them make fun of you,’ he added.”
Norma looked up at Norm and smiled in admiration. She no longer
felt alone and afraid. She had found a new friend. Still
holding her had, Norm turned to the rest of the class and kindly
asked, “How would you feel if it happened to you?” The children
sat motionless. Then Norm added, “Let’s not laugh at her
anymore, okay?” Norma concluded, “We knew we were in the
presence of courage.”
Is there someone in your life who could benefit from the
reassuring courage of your presence today?

I was mad and I was sad
and I was all upset,
I couldn’t go outside to play,
the weather was too wet.
But then my best friend called me up
witlots of things to say,
we made each other giggle,
I felt better right away.
When you can’t think of things to do
and the rain won’t ever end,
it’s nice to have a telephone
to share things with your friend.

I can talk with a friend
and walk with friend
and share my umbrella
in the rain.
I can play with a friend
and stay with a friend
and learn with a friend
and explain.
I can eat with a friend
and compete with a friend
and even sometimes
disagree.
I can ride with a friend
and take pride with a friend.
