Tootsie Roll Witch’s Hat!
Materials:
Poster Board Black Spray Paint
Tootsie Rolls
Glue Gun
Directions:
Step 1: Using poster board and tape…assemble a witch’s hat.
Step 2: Cut a circle for the base of the hat and a triangle for the hat.
Step 3: Tape together.
Step 4: Spray paint black.
Step 5: Begin gluing the tootsie rolls around the hat till the hat is completely

Try making a witch cupcake by using a chocolate covered cone as the witch’s hat
and fruit roll ups as the brim of the hat.
Witches, Wizards and Goblins Invitations:
Buy several cheap plastic magic wands. Print out invitations on white paper with
important information.
Scroll up around want. Tie with orange and black ribbon.
Decorations:
String Christmas lights around the entrance way. Hang silver and gold stars
through out the party area. Mylar gold and silver balloons can also be hung. Cut
out ghost shapes in Mylar and hang. Glow-in-the-dark tape attached to walls,
doors, lamps etc. is nice when lights are low. Grave markers can be made from
Styrofoam sheets – use felt-tip
markers to make inscription.
Witch’s Brew
Recipe By Sue Klapper
3 pints purple grape juice
1 1/2 pints club soda
grapes
apples
Mix the grape juice and soda in a pitcher. Halve the grapes
and take out the seeds. Cut the apple into small chunks. Float the fruit in the
brew just before serving; by magic, the grapes and apples will look just like
eyes and teeth.
Adult’s Witch’s Brew
36 ounces Unsweet apple juice concent – thaw, undiluted
5 cups Water
4 Vodka
1/2 cup Lime juice
1/2 gallon Lime sherbet – softened
8 cups Club soda – chilled
Combine apple juice, water, vodka, and lime juice in a large bowl. Cover and
chill. Just before serving, spoon sherbet
into a large punch bowl; slowly pour apple juice
mixture and club soda over sherbet, stirring gently.
If you have any bedroom doors ajar,
prop a skeleton up in bed with a pair of glasses & a book to read. Or, if you
decide to be really gruesome, buy some old sheets from the Salvation Army, lay
them out (OUTSIDE) & spatter them with any “blood” concoction of your choice,
that doesn’t stain!!! If it doesn’t stain anyone else when dry,
the bloody sheets can be used to cover (& protect!) your furniture. Just like in
an abandoned house
where a horrific butchering took place!! EEEK!
Make “grave” desserts. Use gray construction paper to cut out 4-6″ headstones.
Write the name of your guests on the headstones, along with a funny memorial to
each person. Make instant chocolate pudding and once set, put in individual
serving bowls. Then using a food processor, pulverize a package of chocolate
sandwich cookies. Process until the mixture resembles rich dirt. Sprinkle
liberally on top of each bowl of chocolate pudding. Decorate each with a
headstone before serving.
Make scarecrows. Stuff old jeans, flannel shirts, socks, gloves and hats with
scrunched up newspaper. Use an inflated balloon or a plastic jack-o’-lantern for
a head. Hang the scarecrow from a tree limb or inside from a hanging pole to
greet your Halloween guests.
A great idea to craft for trick or treaters are ghost lollipops. Simply take a
lollipop and put some white tissue paper over the pop and tie with orange and
black ribbon. Using a black magic marker make the eyes.
Hanging Ghosts
What you need: Old pillow cases; scissors; large balloons; string; markers.
What to do:
1. Blow up balloons and tie off and attach string to knot.
2. Cut a hole in one corner of the pillow case.
3. Place the balloon inside the pillowcase and move to the cut corner. Pull the
string through the hole.
4. Holding balloon in place, mark off the areas of the pillowcase where you will
cut eyes and mouth or you may just draw them on with the markers.
5. Remove the balloon and draw or cut the shapes you desire on the pillow case.
6. Place the balloons back into place, cut string to desired length and hang.
These are excellent hanging from trees on a breezy evening. You may also achieve
the same effect with sheets and bigger balloons for larger ghosts, why not make
a whole family.
