Twas the night before Christmas and all through the town,
the fire siren echoed blaring its sound.
The firefighters came running from far and from near,
and raced to the trucks quickly donning their gear.

Twas the night after Christmas
and all through the place
Any creature that stirred fell flat on her face.
We’d ripped open the treasures
and ransacked the stockings,
the amount of goodies we ate was quite shocking!

Not a creature was stirring, except me and my spouse
