My Dad a long time ago My Dad recently
This is my dad, Robert Rost, way back when and recently. My dad, who helped me make my first snowman, who ‘cooked’ the best Kentucky Fried Chicken and Pizza, who took me to Six Flags and went on the rides even though it made him nauseous at times. My dad who would give me and my little girlfriends ‘Screaming Chicken’ tractor rides at my birthday parties, who would stop at parking lot carnivals, and who bought me a sweet car when I turned 16. How many dads have walked on a slippery roof after dark ringing jingle bells so their over-excited little daughter would KNOW that Santa was on the roof, while at the same time playing a recording of himself in the shower singing Christmas songs so that same daughter would also KNOW that it had to be Santa, because mom and dad were both accounted for. Well my dad did.
We might have had our problems and troubles along the way but he is still my dad, and he is still there to lend a helping hand (even if it comes with .. oh boy… advice when I need it. My dad, who I love inspite of himself and who will always be my daddy.
Now DAD!! If I could just convince you to unload that $@$#%##!$ farm and move to New Hampshire to be near your sweet, adorable daughter!!!!!
Nebula’s Father’s Day Fairy
“A father is cherished for all he does, and loved for all he is.”
What is a Father?
A Father is a helping hand
To lift you when you fall.
A Father is a caring heart
That hears you when you call.
A Father is a loving arm
That comforts all your tears
A Father is a Shining Knight
That takes away your fears
A Father loves you staunchly
No matter what you’ve done
A Father has a ready laugh
He knows how to have some fun
A Father stands beside you
Through good times and through bad
He daily earns the title
When he’s lovingly called Dad.
Here are a few pictures I thought you might like dad!

” When I was a boy of fourteen my Father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much he had learned in seven years!”
~ Mark Twain

“I’ve always followed my father’s advice:
he told me, first to always keep my word and,
second, to never insult anybody unintentionally.
If I insult you, you can be go***mn sure I intend to.
And, third, he told me not to go around looking for trouble.”
#1 dad dad
The thanks so often left unsaid,
the love that’s seldom told.
The special pride that’s felt for you
as days and years unfold,
and yet there’s something more -
a special wish that life will hold
the things you’re wishing for.

A father will be there for you
and never let you down
Each time you need to have his love
and good advice around…
That’s why, when Father’s Day is here
this brings my thanks to you
For helping me to learn and grow
and feel so special too!
